Privacy policy.
This is a draft for Avenclave before any downloadable release. It is not legal advice and it is not an agreement that covers a shipped installer. A later legal review will replace this text before anyone can install the product.
The Privacy & security page describes the architecture. This page is the formal draft of what we intend to state when the product is offered.
Who this applies to.
Avenclave is a local-first Windows application under development. Nothing here invites you to create an account, download software, or send calendar data to us. If you only browse this website, the only personal data we may receive is an email you choose to send to hello@avenclave.com.
What Avenclave is designed to store.
When the application exists as an installable product, it is designed to keep the following on your machine, in your Windows user profile:
- Busy intervals inside the window you configure — start and end times, not subjects, attendees, or bodies.
- A mapping row per placeholder it created, enough to prove ownership later.
- An opaque identifier for each placeholder, journaled before the write.
- Signed-in calendar sessions established through each provider’s own authentication.
- An opaque fingerprint of each connected account, enough to detect a different sign-in.
Meeting titles, attendees, descriptions, and other meeting content are not copied to other calendars. They are not sent to an Avenclave service, because ordinary synchronization is not designed to use one.
Providers, email, and licences.
Calendar reads and writes go to the calendar providers you connected — Microsoft and Google — using those providers’ own authentication. Avenclave does not ask a tenant administrator to consent on your behalf.
If a future licence exchange exists, it may carry licence status. It will not carry calendar data. Whether a licence is perpetual or subscription, and what happens if it lapses, is deliberately unstated in this draft.
